Lifetime Warranty

Thermal R&D Exhaust Systems are backed by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The exact warranty terms are specified below.

Our warranty requires:

1. Our systems/components are used as intended
2. Our systems/components are installed correctly
3. Our systems/components are not used for racing or commercial purposes

This is just a brief summary of our lifetime warranty. Please be sure to read all the terms below.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

NOTE: THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO SYSTEMS PURCHASED AFTER 11/1/2003. ALL SYSTEMS PURCHASED BEFORE 11/1/2003 WILL BE COVERED UNDER THE PREVIOUS 2 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY.

Warranty: Thermal Research & Development warrants that all of its exhaust components are free from defects. Each of these systems is warranted against blowouts and defects in material and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which it was originally installed. The warranty is void if the system is not installed and used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer's instruction for such; and in accordance with good installation and maintenance procedures for the Automotive Industry.

This warranty does not apply to any exhaust component which has been installed on any commercial or racing vehicle or which has been improperly installed, altered or subjected to misuse or damage from accidents. Thermal Research & Development will not be liable for labor charges and other intangible or consequent losses that might be claimed as a result of the failure of any part; nor shall it be liable for damages or injury to person or property resulting from misuse or improper installation of any part subject to this warranty.

The warranty part, along with proof of purchase, MUST be presented to the service outlet from which the exhaust product was originally purchased, or any participating dealer, when making a claim for replacement. The original exhaust product must also be returned for repair or replacement of the same part number. Shipping of the part to and from the manufacturer is the responsibility of purchaser. Manufacturer maintains sole discretion in determining whether a part is under warranty, and whether is will be repaired or replaced.

No other warranty, expressed or implied, including merchantability, applies to the exhaust component, nor is any person or Thermal Research & Development authorized to assume any other warranty. Thermal Research & Development does not assume responsibility for any consequential damages occasioned by the exhaust product, or inconvenience or interruption in any operation.

The warranty gives you specified legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

California currently has the most stringent regulations in regards to aftermarket exhaust sound level requirements. Regulations in your state may vary. Thermal Research & Development suggests you check the Vehicle Code in your state for specific guidelines.

Thermal Research & Development does not guarantee that you will not receive a citation or receive a fine for violations of state regulations. Thermal Research & Development suggests that you always keep your stock exhaust system on hand. This will allow for uninterrupted use of the vehicle should the need arise for removing your Thermal Research & Development exhaust systems.

*Some Thermal Research & Development exhaust components are designed for racing and are not legal for street use.
